Bernice S. Wulfhorst , (nee Sleight) 93, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2008 at the home of her beloved daughter (Raechel D. Bricker) and son-in-law (Stephan H. J. Bricker) and favorite dog “Java” who reside at 3521 Chestnut Landing Dr., Maineville, Ohio 45039. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband O. Louis Wulfhorst and son Rex Dean Wulfhorst, aunt Edna (Schafer) Sleight and uncle Roy C. Sleight, mother Elenora (Koehne) Sleight, father Harris G. Sleight , brothers Glenn C. Sleight and Roger William Alexander Sleight . She is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren Michelle Renee (Wulfhorst) White, Greensboro, NC, Eric Jon Bricker, Scottsdale, AZ, Jeffry Dean Wulfhorst, Moscow, ID, Heather Ann Bricker, Aurora, CO and great-grandchildren, Ethan Dean White , Lauren Ashley, Ryan Andrew and Adam Maloney Bricker, Simone Cedar, Indigo Laurel and Antonia Roxanna Parker Wulfhorst, Joshua Parker Kettlehake and daughters-in-law Jill Maloney Bricker and Julia Dawn Parker Wulfhorst. Bernice was a retired employee of McAlpins, traveled the world with her husband, was an active supporter of her children’s grade school and high school events, served 35 years as presiding judge for Board of Elections, taught reading for The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati, and was an active member of Sycamore Presbyterian Church for 39 years also serving as a Deacon, PNC committee, prayer chain, greeter, S.H.A.P.E., Sanctuary Guild and Eunice Circle member. A memorial/celebration of life service will be held on May 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Sycamore Presbyterian Church. Reception immediately following.
