Ries, Philip A. beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Feith) Ries died Friday of a sudden illness. He was 84 years old. Born in Cincinnati on May 31, 1921, son of the late Helen and John Ries, both of Cincinnati. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy Feith Ries, and children Philip (Jerry) Ries of Blanchester, OH, Stephen and Jamie Ries of Cincinnati, Dr. Penelope Ries of Fort Worth, TX, his sister Carolyn (Reis) and Richard Keppel. Seven grand children and six great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. A veteran of WWII, Philip served in the US Navy in the South Pacific. Retiring from Cincinnati Milicron in 1966 where he was maintenance supervisor, he and his wife went into business for themselves as owners and operators of Blue Ash Hardware in Blue Ash, OH.
