Betty C. Settle, 86, passed away Feb. 4, 2006. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 10 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 8221 Miami Ave. Funeral services will follow at the church. Memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army or the Cincinnati Children's Home. Betty Settle was born on Oct. 10, 1920 in Madisonville, OH. She was a graduate of Withrow High School and the University of Cincinnati. Betty taught home economics and English for 9 years. Later in life she worked for the IRS. Very talented in horticulture, her garden was featured on the Cincinnati Garden Tour. Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe and Frank Horton, her husband, William, her son, James, and her daughter, Sally. She leaves behind two daughters, Ann Settle and Mary Pruitt, and her grand daughters, Becky and Barri Pruitt.
