Bell Elizabeth "Betty" Hunt. Devoted wife of 56 years to the late George English Bell. Passed Wednesday, April 24, 2007. Loving mother of Bonnie Bell Krissinger and the late David C. Krissinger of Downingtown, PA, Michael A. Bell and Donna Gordanier Bell of Minneapolis, MN, and G. Thomas Bell and Katie McGuire Bell of Milford, OH. Beloved grandmother of Christopher Bell (Carole), Cindy Shrom and Donald Krissinger (Sue) and Great Grandmother of Jacky Higginbotham, Samantha Shrom, Caroline Bell and her namesake Elizabeth Bell. "Betty" was the only child of Wilbur and Helen Hunt of Blue Ash, OH. She was raised there in the long-time family home when Blue Ash was still a sleepy farm community on the outskirts of Cincinnati. She was married to George, who she met while attending Hanover College in IN, there in that house in 1940. As a Naval officer's wife she led an adventurous life, living in Ponape, Guam, the Panama Canal Zone and many other stateside locations. When George retired in 1976, they returned to her family home in Blue Ash which they lovingly renovated and restored. Betty eventually sold the house to Blue Ash and is now the Blue Ash History Museum. Betty was an avid bridge player and was very involved in church activities at Blue Ash Presbyterian Church and the Blue Ash Historical Society. Mother was an inspiration to all who met her with her quiet strength and gentle ways and her courage when faced with adversity. To know her was to love her. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 P.M. at the Strawser Funeral Home 9503 Kenwood Rd. Blue Ash. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Monday at the Blue Ash Presbyterian Church, 4309 Cooper Rd. Blue Ash. If so desired, memorial contributions may be sent to the City of Blue Ash-Elizabeth Bell Hunt House Preservation Fund. Condolences may be expressed at www.strawserfuneralhome.com
