David Loren Bergevin, Sr., age 69, passed away October 4, 2007, at his home in Cincinnati, OH, following an extended illness. Mr. Bergevin was born in Waukegan, IL, August 24,1938. He attended grade school and high school in Zion, IL. He graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.A degree in Bible and English and a Master's degree in Bible in 1962. He married Alice Skinner on August 4,1960. He served three churches as minster if youth and music in Florida, Iowa and Indiana between 1963 and 1969.

He joined Moody Bible Institute's radio station WDLM in Quad Cities, IL, in 1969 and worked for 33 years as assistant manager and announcer. He was a well-known in the Quad City area by his radio voice and well loved by his audience. He also served several churches in the area as Bible teacher and choir directo, including 22 years with First Baptist Church of Muscatine, IA.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, Cincinnati; daugthers Lorraine Bergevin, Cincinnati, and Elizabeth (Craig) Haigh, Hanover Park, IL; and a son David(Cynthia)Bergevin, Jr., Cincinnati. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 sister, 4 brothers, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2007, from 2-4pm at Strawser Funeral Home, 9503 Kenwood Rd, Cincinnati, OH. The funeral services will be held Monday, October 8,2007 at 10 am at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 8645 Kenwood Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45236. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
