Carl Victor Bloomer of Blue Ash, OH. died on January 14, 2009 after a two year battle with cancer. Carl was born in Eubank, KY December 20, 1936 to Richard and Vertie Bloomer. His mother is still living in Somerset. He has two brothers, Jim and Don, and preceded in death by his sister Marilyn. Carl moved to Cincinnati and met Lela England in 1958 and was married May 27, 1960. They raised two children, Carl Richard and Kenneth Lee. He has four grandchildren Benjamin, Jessica, Ariel, and Alison. His family will remember Carl Victor finding a way to fix anything around the house, taking Sunday afternoon bike rides with his kids, taking weekend trips to Somerset to work on the farm, and most of all his infectious laugh. He wasn’t afraid try anything from flopping on the dance floor at both sons’ wedding to learning how to ride a motorcycle when he retired. Carl, our lives will be less full without you here but we know that you’re in a better place.
Visitation will be 3-5pm Sunday Jan. 18, 2009 at Strawser Funeral Home with Funeral Services at 5:00pm with Tom Moll officiating. Burial Private at later date at the Rest Haven Burial Park, Evendale.Contributions can be made in honor of Carl to cancer research (i.e. Cancer Research Institute, American Cancer Society, Livestrong.org)
