Rupers, Ronald H., age 69, of Montgomery, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2005 in his residence. He was born November 16, 1935 in Cadillac, Michigan, son of the late Albert and Lucille Rupers.

Ron married Eleanor McCracken on June 16, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan.

Ron attended Mt. Clemens H.S. and Wayne State University. He served the United States Army from 1953-1955 as an Artillery Communications Chief.

Ron went to work in 1957 for Jervis B. Webb Conveyor Co. in Detroit, as a mechanical engineer. His invention in the 1960's helped make Webb an industry leader. He became the Cincinnati Regional Sales Manager in 1972. He retired from Webb in 1999 after 42 years with the company.

Ron enjoyed a good laugh with his wife Eleanor, and watching his children and grandchildren grow. He was smart, honest to a fault and usually right. The family geneologist, Ron was very much like Great-Grandfather Henry Rupers, " a good citizen, respected and well liked in the community." He enjoyed hard work, a tough project and the satisfaction either would bring. He loved his big family, Thanksgiving dinners ( he made the best stuffing), baseball, history, numbers, Pete Fountain jazz, and a good game of cribbage with a grandson.

Rob Rupers was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Montgomery, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ann Rupers; daughter Kathleen; son Robert Rupers; daughter Teresa; seven grandchildren, Brad, Matt, John, Benjamin Ronald, Patrick, Katherine and Bridget; sister and brother-in-law Diane and Richard Welninski; sister and brother-in-law Mary Kay and Mike Williams, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Joanne Rupers; sister and brother-in-law Teresa and Gary Bossow; brother-in-laws John McCracken, Al McCracken, Jack Connaughton, Chris Power, Larry Gryka, Jerry Neubert; sister-in-laws Ann McCracken, Betty McCracken, Alice Connaughton, Rose Marie Power, Maureen Gryka, Gwen McCracken, Trish Neubert (who saw him come to Jesus); and twenty nine nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved father and mother Bud and Lucy Rupers, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Sadie McCracken of Scotland; brother-in-law Stanley McCracken and niece Peggy Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in All Saints Catholic Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd. Kenwood, Ohio. Father Larry Schottlekotte will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, OH. Visiting hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the Strawser Funeral Home, 9503 Kenwood Rd., Blue Ash, OH: and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the church.
