HOUSTON, George 87 of Walton, KY. passed Friday January 30, 2009. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
He was survived by two sons, Kenneth and David Houston. Two daughters, Charlotte Houston and Karen Knauff. Two sisters, Selma Claypool and Margaret Brown. Six Grandchildren and Five Great-Great-Grandchildren also survive. Services are private.

KERN Florence M., 89 of Cincinnati, OH. passed Sunday Jan. 25, 2009. She was the loving wife of Herbert R.(Joe) Kern. Mrs. Kern was a member of Montgomery Assembly of God Church and a retired Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Judith Ann (Jim) Roberts. Two sisters, Grace Arlene Gray and Leora Frances Gartner. Seven nieces and two nephews also survive. Mrs. Kern was preceded in death by her parents, Guerney H. and Rachel Boyer Swauger. Three brothers, Burl, Clarence, and Ellis Swauger.
Funeral services are planned for Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 11:00am at Montgomery Assembly of God with Pastor Rodney Dukes presiding. Gathering for the service will begin at 10:30am. Donations to Montgomery Assembly of God Missionary Fund. Final resting will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park - Evendale, OH. Arrangements entrusted to Strawser Funeral Home, Blue Ash, OH.

DECKER Judith Carol (nee Wheeler) 68 of Indian Hill, passed Sunday Jan. 18, 2009. Mrs. Decker was the widow of the late Richard Decker and the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Lillmars Wheeler.
Survivors three children, Kristen(Frank)Sattler, Stacey(Kurt, M.D.) Froehlich and Richard(Christine) Decker. Seven grandchildren, Franchesca and Eric Sattler, Adam, Erin and Abbey Froehlich, Jordan and Kylie Decker. One brother, Richard(Michal) Wheeler. A nephew Mike Wheeler and niece Lori Pfeifle. A host of family and friends also survive.
Celebration of the life of Judith will take place on Fri. Jan. 23, 2009 at 7pm at the Strawser Funeral Home, Blue Ash, OH. The family will recieve freinds starting at 6pm. Reception will follow the service until 9pm at the funeral home. Private Entombment will take place Sat. Jan. 24, 2009 in Spring Grove Cemetery.Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. McANINCH Bertha Helen (nee Bennett) 84 passed Thurs. Jan 15, 2009. Resident of Kenwood, OH. She was the widow of Vernon D. McAninch and the loving mother of Helen McAninch.
Mrs. McAninch was a member of the Hartzell United Methodist Church, Montgomery Kiwanis's and well known for her time and effort in fundraising for needs of people and causes in Sycamore Twp.

Carl Victor Bloomer of Blue Ash, OH. died on January 14, 2009 after a two year battle with cancer. Carl was born in Eubank, KY December 20, 1936 to Richard and Vertie Bloomer. His mother is still living in Somerset. He has two brothers, Jim and Don, and preceded in death by his sister Marilyn. Carl moved to Cincinnati and met Lela England in 1958 and was married May 27, 1960. They raised two children, Carl Richard and Kenneth Lee. He has four grandchildren Benjamin, Jessica, Ariel, and Alison. His family will remember Carl Victor finding a way to fix anything around the house, taking Sunday afternoon bike rides with his kids, taking weekend trips to Somerset to work on the farm, and most of all his infectious laugh. He wasn’t afraid try anything from flopping on the dance floor at both sons’ wedding to learning how to ride a motorcycle when he retired. Carl, our lives will be less full without you here but we know that you’re in a better place.
Visitation will be 3-5pm Sunday Jan. 18, 2009 at Strawser Funeral Home with Funeral Services at 5:00pm with Tom Moll officiating. LYONS Geneva Darlene (nee McGowan), 71 of Rossmoyne, passed Sat. Jan 10, 2009. She was born in Russell Springs, KY. to the late Joe and Evada Wilson McGowan and was the widow of Earl Lyons.

CAMPBELL Patricia Louise (nee Appel); age 81 of Montgomery, went to eternal rest on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008. The widow of Jack Campbell and the daughter of the late Harry and Marie Appel. She was born November 18, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH.; and was a retired bookkeeper. Survivors include three daughters: Candice Campbell, Cheryl (Bob Glovitz) Campbell and Cyndi Campbell. Two grandsons, Blake and Adam Glovitz. One sister Sue Weigel also survives. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Barbara Wallin and Kenneth Appel. EISELE Frank M. 86 passed Wednesday Jan. 7, 2009. He was the widower of the late Gladys (nee Daughtery) Eisele. Mr. Eisele was a retired college counselor and a World War II Army Veteran.
Survivors include one son, Harold Gene (Sandy) Kearns, two daughters Sandi(Kalman) Kivkovich and Betty Ferris. Five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Three sister's Catherine Radabaugh, Rose Hudson and Mary Bellar also survive.
